After eating and looking around a bit, we went to our scheduled big event today: a tour of the Sagrada Familia. I have to admit that I was not looking forward to this as much as you'd think. I have seen cathedrals and churches from a lot of places--and while each is unique and beautiful in its own way--they tend to run together. Well, that won't happen with this one. From the start, it was more impressive than any other church I've seen before. You've all probably heard this before, but it was started in 1882 and is still under construction today. Antoni Gaudi--the Catalan architect of the cathedral took over in 1883 and died before it was complete, It is expected to be completed in 2026, a century after his death.
Everywhere you looked, there was something to see.

Cathedral Ceiling. It was meant to represent a forest canopy.
The rest of the day was just spent eating (it's expensive), shopping (at an H&M w/ Jason and Kyle--there's 30 minutes of the vacation I'll never get back), resting (some), and then walking around town.

¿Cómo se dice "I'm hungry" en Español? Estoy hambriento.
