First stop was an electronics store to get a power cord for the laptop. I foolishly brought the one from Kyle's school laptop, which was an IBM and won't work with my HP. Of course, it won't be much use when we're back home but it will be a nice souvenir. Or an excuse to come back and use it.
Next was the Picasso Museum. I'm not a huge fan, but these were his earlier works, which I never saw before--it was pretty interesting. The other thing I liked about it is that we got in for free (and skipped the long ticket line) using that Barcelona Card I mentioned earlier.
We saw the Arc de Triomf on the way to the museum. It was built as an access gate to the 1888 Barcelona World's Fair.

Interesting architecture on the way back, too.
Fanciest Post Office I ever saw.
Next was a trip to the top of Montjuic hill. There is a castle here built in the 1640s, but there wasn't much interest in going in, so I didn't push it. There were spectacular views though.

The final stop was the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC). Once again, the Barcelona Card got us in for free. This was a really nice place. We saw the Modern Art exhibit and coinage used in Catalonia dating back to pre-Roman times. The museum itself is housed in the Palau Nacional, an Italian-style building dating back to 1929.

We stayed here a while because at night they have a display called the Magic Fountain of Montjuic.
